To be fair, we were there with a large (20+) group and had a fixed menu. That said, I left relatively disappointed. My lobster was cooked into Oblivion, and my wife's steak had no seasoning at all. Most of the people around our table shared the same reaction. Definitely not what we would have expected from a steakhouse as highly rated as this.

MoreI'm not really a big meat eater but I had heard a lot of good things about Blackstones! Thankfully they have something for everyone! I came in here with two co-workers on a Monday evening (back in the times of normalcy) and we were seated right away. The menu is very extensive and has a lot of great seafood choices in addition to the meat. To start out with, we got the Tuna Tartare, Clams with white wine sauce (special that night), Escargot, and Clams Casino (accidentally given to us but was my favorite!). They definitely put a lot of effort into the presentation but the taste also lives up!For my main course, I got the Branzino. After all those appetizers, I was already pretty full so I had about half of this yummy lemon-y dish and the rest for dinner the next day. I love the lemon and caper sauce, that's always a favorite.This spot is definitely more on the expensive side and has a very upscale vibe. Definitely recommend it for any special occasion!
MoreFantastic food and atmosphere, with impeccable service. The prices are high, however you are paying for not only excellent food, but the engaged service of talented black- tie wait staff. The wine list is just right, plenty of choice but not overly extensive, and every wine is quality. The after dinner dessert, tea, and cappuccino were decent, but not the forte of the restaurant. Overall, an absolute treat. I will most certainly be back on another special occasion.

Do not eat here. The food ranged from mediocre to absolutely terrible. The app meatballs tasted like what I would think dog food tastes like. And the crab cake! There wasn’t a single detectable piece of crab in the thing. I don’t need to go on. It’s just bad. I won’t go back.
MoreThis is our favorite restaurant. We drive an hour and a half to get there each time. So that's three hours total and totally worth it. You have to get the porterhouse for two. Their shrimp cocktail is the best I've ever had. How do they make the shrimp taste so good? The first time I had that I scoffed at $20 for for shrimp but it's totally worth it and I get it every time now. The service is usually exceptional. Garlic mashed potatoes and creamed spinach are awesome. The Seafood Tower is amazing. They don't give you weak drinks. I don't know what else to say except for you got to go

MoreSteak was very good but a little expensive compared to what I'm used to back home (not a negative). Not cooked exactly as requested. Most was medium rare as ordered but a good half of the cut was very rare.Service was fine, not exceptional. The food took a long time considering that we were the only table in the place. Server was polite but gave me a bit of a condescending impression.Overall, flavors were good, food was cooked well, and atmosphere was nice. Not much to complain about. Solid 4 stars. Would go again.

Best steak in Connecticut! Rivals any NYC steakhouse. Blackstones Chicken and Branzino are must-haves for non red meat eaters. Fantastic wine list. Great spot for date night, anniversaries, birthdays, or just a nice evening out!

I love their steak. Vegetables are very iffy. Asparagus was inedible. They concentrate so much on fine wines that they don't know what a Chablis or chardonnay are. Waiters are attentive and tables are cleaned between courses. My husband likes their pork chops.

The only thing keeping this review from being 5 stars- slightly curt on the service end of things and a little too old-timey. I love old things and places but it just seemed a little meh on the atmosphere. Everything else was fantastic i.e. the food! The steak was cooked to perfection and the asparagus side was both render AND crisp. If you are a fan of steak you should definitely put this on your list 👍

I had the bone in ribeye. For sides we ordered sauteed spinach, garlic mash and mac and cheese. All of them were truly delicious

MoreAs me and my work partner are away for business on thanksgiving my company makes us reservations here. Not planning on being away from home we did not have dress shoes or dress shirts. We open the door and see the maître d’ holding the door in a suit, awkward... I instantly feel like the wants to turn us away. We mention that we have reservations and all is well, they seat us at a comfortable table along the wall. I order bone in NY strip cooked Medium partner orders NY strip no bone cooked medium well, along with a couple sides. My bone in NY strip is brought to the table and is well under cooked, dark pink cool center. I NEVER send food back! I tried to force it down till I tasted the cool center. I requested that my apologies went to the chef but this is rare and not to safe temperature. Very overpriced!! My waiter was very nice and understanding, The maître d’ seemed to talk down to staff. So yea... we won’t be going back to blackstone!! Sorry guys!!
MoreIf I could give this place "0" stars, I would. The service was horrible. The server barely noticed that we were there, even though there was like 3 people in the dining room. Didn't want to tell us about specials or drinks. And basically insulted my husband by stating that a sweet red wine is not a thing, upon ordering. I refused to stay for continual mediocrity and possible bad food as well. So my husband and I left.
MoreI have been to Blackstone’s in Greenwich and Stamford and now Norwalk and it has always been an amazing experience. From brunch, to Friday or Saturday night or bridal showers, this is my number one choice. I absolutely love this restaurant and the staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and amazing. I love the delicious food and amazing drinks, thanks for providing such an amazing atmosphere and continuously great service.

MoreLadies & gentlemen this steakhouse is exceptionally good. The service is friendly, attentive and the food is excellent. Fresh food cooked to perfection. Being an avid Steak eater, this steakhouse compares to the likes of great Steakhouses like Peter Luger’s, Morton’s, Keens and Gallagher’s to name a few. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this restaurant for good seafood as well. When in Norwalk, Ct from NYC this is my spot. Bon appetite.
